Hello, fellow gamers! Recently I have been thinking about starting to stream, perhaps Twitch, perhaps YouTube, I am unsure about this. I am uncertain about a lot of things, but I digress. The real question I have is can you get into streaming after playing games for the best part of 25 years and have never done it before?
I mean age is just a number, and when it comes to pursuing our passions, there’s no time like the present, but there is always that worry. Like what is the point, is it just cause I love gaming and want to show it off or what?
So the troubles I need to face and overcome:
- Actually getting started, always sounds easier than it is
- To be on screen or nah (I’ll be honest with you, I sometimes play with a face mask on or under eye mask and I would rather not scare any poor human who is watching)
- Also building an audience – is not easy, how do you get people to watch your videos – which is a sentence I am positive every YouTuber has thought
- Can I change the way I play to be more… visually appealing
- Finally, figure out the rules about swearing on stream & actually talking while gaming
I have been watching a few YouTubers recently and I really enjoy how easily they talk while playing games, I think that is something I would have to work on. But please if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them!
But I suppose it is also like if you wanted to start a podcast, blog or even business, you just gotta do it. As Shia LaBeouf famously told us JUST DO IT.
Well below is my gaming PC and I love it!
